Immerse Yourself in Holiday Spirit

The Oshkosh Celebration of Lights is a community event and we would love for community members to be involved in our program!
Our volunteer opportunities are for before, during, and after the event.

Volunteer Opportunities
DURING EVENT
Currently we have many positions available for working at the Entrance Hut, and Santa’s Lodge Helpers!
DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
ENTRANCE HUT:
Volunteer and welcome Oshkosh COL cars/visitors: Ask how they will be paying (either cash or credit cards are accepted w/a $5 discount given if someone brings in (new-unopened, in date) hygiene or food product item (only one discount is given, even if they bring in multiple donations).
Advise visitors of current events for that night (Community Night sponsor, giveaways, Humane Society collection or toy collection, Veterans Night (thank them for their service), 55+ or senior night, Night of the Torches) and any other attraction that evening.
ELVES (SANTA’S LODGE HELPERS):
Being an elf entails walking the children to Santa and introducing them to him so they can visit, and also show them where to take their Santa letters.
After visiting, Santa will give each child a special button. Then as each child leaves, an elf will give him/her a candy cane and guide them to the exit. Please be available to take pictures for them if needed. Elf costumes provided or you can wear your own.
